Our top 10 fundraising ideas:
1. Raffle
Holding a raffle is a nice way to raise money and get people involved, whether this is in the office or for friends and family. Local businesses may even donate prizes for your raffle to make it all the more successful.
2. Quiz night
Organising a quiz night is a great way to get friends, family or work colleagues together to support our cause. Get everyone to sign up and get your quiz master outfit ready. You could have a raffle as part of your quiz night to help raise more funds.
3.Talking Tea Party
Staying connected is often more important than we realise. Hosting a Talking Tea Party is a great way to spend quality time with family, friends, neighbours and colleagues at the same time as raising valuable funds for the work of your local Mental Health Charity.
4. Bake sale
Holding a bake sale is a delicious way to raise money. You could even make it a competition and get people to make a donation to enter their bakes for a chance of winning a prize.
5. Car Wash
Charity car washes are always popular. They are inexpensive to run and only require a few volunteers, but can be a great way to raise money and awareness.
6. Auction
This fundraiser requires a bit more planning but can be a great way to raise money for charity if you have some good prizes. It may mean spending some time ahead of the event finding goods to auction and then generating some interest from your participants.
7. Charity football match(or rugby or netball etc)
This could be a local football team, friends and family, or even a workplace event. Sporting events like this are great for the teams but also get a lot of interest from the audience too. Combine this with an auction/raffle and a party afterwards to increase your fundraising.
8. Dress down/non-uniform
Whether this is a dress down in your workplace or a non-uniform day in a school, this fundraising idea is easy to do and a great way to raise money for us.
9. Movie night
Who doesn’t love a movie night, and why not turn it into a fundraising event? You could even make this a themed night with dress up and have refreshments available to increase your fundraising options.
10. Active challenge
Our active challenge page has more information about different challenges that we have available for you to sign up to. You may be planning a team challenge or something more personal, a challenge can be different for all of us. Whether you are thinking of doing a sponsored skydive, a sponsored walk or even committing to giving up a bad habit, get in touch.
We want to support you through your fundraising event and can help with any resources you might need. We will provide a supporter t-shirt and can help with promotion to help you achieve your goal and raise awareness along the way.
Whatever type of event you are planning – large or small – we are keen to hear how we can get involved if you need us. We can come and talk about our charity work, provide literature and promotional material, and collection buckets and tins.
